Our first trip to Santa Monica was pretty fun. It was crowded, but this is California in the summer. It's crowded everywhere. I had a hungry meltdown halfway through the day, which was quickly solved by a Korean BBQ food truck and picnic next to the beach. We saw a crab and got hit by a frisbee. It was a full day. :)
I go under every pier and take the same photo apparently.
This photo is for my dad. I wonder if he'll see it. This guy has big ole handlebars on his bicycle. And wearing leathers like a Harley man. Then rode off with a bell ringing on the handlebars. :)
We'll be going back at some point to visit this camera obscura when it reopens. It was closed for renovations. It's a real walk-in camera obscura!
Lunch time. Sit in the grass, fend off the greedy birds, and eat amazing burritos. Recover from a bad case of the hangries.
Who needs dessert when you have cameras?
This beach has quite a different scene. Some streets felt like what I imagine San Francisco to be. Others, not so much. Cars everywhere. People packed around the pier. Summer in California.
