Drive

We took a little road trip to Nashville just before leaving St. Louis. 

A little more of our snowy landscape before heading for beaches and sunshine. 

Pandas!

My favorite animal is the panda. So far, I've only seen the cute stuffed ones that live in my bedroom. That changed last weekend. My girl planned a little weekend getaway, but didn't tell me what the purpose was. I quizzed her until I figured out it was a trip to Memphis, but couldn't get any further than that.

We had a fun little drive to Memphis and found a fun little local joint to have dinner - fried pickles, too! I still had no clue what we were in Memphis for. I woke up the next morning feeling a little like it was Christmas or something. I poked my girl and got her to wake up... within minutes, she told me the secret. We were going to the zoo... to see pandas. We sprang into action... fast, get dressed! Fast, eat breakfast! Let's go! 

And then we were there... I speed walked to their exhibit area. Hello Le Le and hello little Ya Ya. What a fantastic surprise.
