Red Rock Canyon

Another flashback, to our trip over to Red Rock Canyon. A land of many colors and big rocks!

I took a film camera and a couple of old rolls of film. I got this expired film in a holiday gift swap with some film friends, and it seems to have suited this usage perfectly. The extra grain and somewhat varied colors goes perfectly with the wild skies and rocky terrain of this location.

Color photos made with Nikon F100 on very expired RiteAid color film, developed by Alpine.
B/W photos made with Nikon F100 on slightly expired Ilford Delta, developed by me.

Vegas Film

A few flashback photos from our trip to Vegas! Clearing out the back-up of film I've had sitting around has made for some fun times remembering place and times. Our little weekend in Vegas was a particularly fun one. :)

Zoe, oh Zoe

Zoe, oh Zoe. She loves our balcony. Always sunny, always warm, and lots of things to watch.

Always, with the big eyes.

Breakfast in our house begins with coffee, and a cat who needs to watch everything. She's just too cute sitting at the bar with her tiny head just barely high enough to see everything I'm doing in the kitchen.

She loves looking out the windows, but she can't reach, so sometimes a chair gets moved over for her. :)
She is the queen of our home, even when she turns her head and blurs my photo. :)

B/W photos were made with a Nikon F100, on Delta 400, and developed by me!
Square color photo was made with a Yashica 124G on Ektar, developed/processed by Alpine.
Rectangle color photo was made with a Mamiya 645 on Fuji 400H, also developed/processed by Alpine.

"Flip Kim to be first - in everything"

We are getting the priorities in line around here...
"Flip Kim to be first - in everything"

Ok, so we were actually working on our vows and making notes about our ceremony.
Still, makes me smile every time I see the note. :)

Yashica, Roll 2

This is the second set of photos taken with my new Yashica (dream boat camera). Unfortunately, the meter was busted and I didn't yet own a light meter when I shot this roll, so I mostly guessed my way through metering these photos, with a little help from an iPhone app. We fared well, but could have been better. Since this roll, the camera has gone out for repair and I purchased a handheld light meter... :)
