Fancy News

We spent a few days in California this past weekend. We attended a lovely wedding, spent some fun time with Kim's family, got to spot the shuttle Endeavour flying around on a jet, and took a couple of strolls on the beach. One of those little walks on the beach turned into quite a surprise.

My sweetheart surprised me with the greatest birthday present ever...

I love this girl more than I did the day before, which I honestly didn't think was possible. She pulled off a perfect surprise and pretty much made me the happiest girl on earth.

California Polaroids

I found a cute little Polaroid at a thrift store (for 25 cents!) and purchased some Impossible Project film for our trip to California. Here are the first few successful frames... we had one jam, and there are two left in the camera! Something different and fun!

Spotting Endeavour

We landed in California on Friday, just in time for the flyover of the shuttle Endeavour. We raced to the coast, grabbed a camera, and ran down to the beach. And it flew by... the coolest piggy-back ride I've ever seen.

Lots of people were on the beach, though not there for the beach. It was odd to see so many people facing away from the ocean, eyes on the sky. 

The lifeguard did his job though. Eyes on the ocean. :)

Happy birthday..!

My sweetheart let me give in to the latest camera craze for my big birthday this year. Medium format. What a gorgeous (early) birthday present, right? I've got film and I'm so excited to shoot this beast. And my mom even got me a B&H gift card (more film)!
