Last of the Olympus 35RC

These are the last photos from my Olympus 35RC. The meter pooped out and I opted to sell it for some wedding money, rather than try to fix it. Here are a couple more photos from the Independence trip!

Impromptu Crestwood Sunset

This dilapidated, deserted old shopping mall always seems to need to be photographed. This time, the sun was setting and the sky was a little dark. I happened to have a tripod and a patient girlfriend in my car, so I stopped. Some long exposures and the moon decided to show up a little... :)

Antique Mall

On the way home from Independence, we stopped at this road side pile of stuff. Whoa.

Kansas Polaroid

I snapped and pulled a few Polaroids while in Kansas. A couple of them got smooshed, causing some damage (big white blobs), but I kind of still like them.

Big Meows

While at the safari zoo mentioned in yesterday's blog, we got to get super up close to some large cats. Lions, tigers, and white tigers. And honestly, white tigers are one of my very favorite animals so this was quite a fun experience.

Scrunchy nose!

Tongue tricks?

My what large paws you have...

He either wants to play... or eat...

Snack time.

This guy is the owner of this park, and these cats. He got them to stand up for their snacks to show us just how big they are. The comparison between the cats arm and the guys arm is striking. This guy was not small, and he was quite muscular. That cats arm is BIG. And standing only about 3 feet away makes this cat seem HUGE.

Rawr!

Tiger time... honestly, I was less than 2 feet away from his face. Fought the urge to rub his nose and lose some fingers... :)

Snack time!

"Oh that was tasty!"

BIG.

The lions!

This is Mr. Lazybones.
