Flashback: Film in KC, August 2004

Way back in 2004, I spent a weekend hopping over to Kansas City to roam around with my aunt. These were shot on Ilford 3200 high speed film.

We went to Kansas City for a visit and spent some time wandering around Weston and Downtown.

We went for a walk around a little town called Kimmswick, which sits just south of St. Louis.

We went on a spontaneous walk at the park with a very good friend of ours and her little boy. He is quite photographic with his abundance of cute faces. :)

Look Up

I love trees. Not in a tree hugger sort of way, but in an I love looking at them sort of way. (Ok, maybe a tad tree hugger, too.) They are all different, yet similar, and pleasing to my eye. I have a habit of walking up to trees and looking up at the "inside" of them. This tends to happen when I have a camera up to my eye, too. I noticed this trend one day, and started making a "collection" of my "Look Up" moments. There have been quite a few.

Florida, Part II

We took our second annual trip to the beaches of Florida last month. It was wonderful. We stayed in a beach house this year, which was so much better than a hotel ten minutes away from the beach. We woke up every morning, drank our coffee on the balcony, and watched the waves roll in. Every night, we walked on the beach and enjoyed the breeze, came home and fell asleep with the waves crashing in the background. It was such an amazing time.
