Here are the film shots from our day walking up and down the Laguna coast. These are from a plastic little Kodak Instamatic that I decided to carry around in my pocket. Snapshots! :)

Wedding Time : Laguna Beach
Our first morning in our little studio started with some cute little orange juices from our host.
Then we walked down to the beach by our studio... toes in the sand!
On the way back home, we noticed this cute little flower stand on the street. We stopped and chatted with the lady and ended up picking out our wedding flowers!
Back home to our patio, with some big mugs of coffee!
This first day in California was spent meandering the coast around Laguna. We parked nearby and walked out to the beach. The foggy layer was starting to burn off, so we walked along the beach and stopped for lunch.
After lunch, the fogginess was mostly gone and the sun was warming things up. We walked from beach to beach, through parks and along cute streets. I love, like loooooove, the palm trees and the ocean blue.

Wedding Time : Paperwork!
Paperwork time! This was easily one of the coolest - yet most anticlimactic - moments of my life. This one piece of paper gives us the legal rights that have been so long denied. This one piece of paper protects us in so many ways. This one piece of paper somehow makes our love and relationship feel just a smidge more "real". It is honestly so easy to get married that it was surprising to me.
We got our license at a nifty little courthouse, complete with giant palm trees and really nice guy to help with the paperwork. And a very funny (outdated) book about "our future together"!
At this point, I think neither of us could believe this was really happening. When we left the courthouse, I literally jumped for joy.
Wedding Time : Get Outta Town!
The travel begins at the crack of dawn. We literally got to watch the sun come up while we ate our airport breakfast. The wedding excitement was fuel enough to get us up and going, I think. :)
Up, up, and away we go!
We spent an hour in Phoenix, running from one end of a terminal to the opposite end of another terminal. It was only about 9am or so there, but we had been awake for hours. Ready for lunch, but instead, got to have breakfast again. :)
The plane from Phoenix to Long Beach was just a little fella...
I mean, really, Long Beach airport makes anyone feel like a celebrity. Little fella plane, cute almost all outdoor airport, and unloading us on the tarmac.

Hellooooooo palm trees..!

Wedding Time : A Wave
I love waves. I might have taken some pictures of one wave in particular - this one was at Shaw's Cove, where we got married. Then I made this:

Wedding Time : Pack It Up!
And so it begins...
Kim finished her final and her second tier of school (with an A!) and came home to pack for our trip. We packed and repacked a couple of times, but finally got everything to fit. A couple of cold brews helped the game of suitcase Tetris. :)
Zoe couldn't stay home for so long, so we had to take her to our kitty sitting friend. After she inspected our rings. :)
She played peek-a-boo in the car...
Then we got a strong dose of "angry face" while she got settled at Tessa's house.

More photos from our trip will be coming soon!
*Disclaimer: Kim took quite a few of the photos that will follow in the Wedding Time blogs. We put our photos all together so we could better see the "story" of our trip.
