Laumeier On Mamiya

Talk about a flashback... these photos were taken way back in February. One of our last walks around my favorite place, before moving away. Laumeier blog posts used to happen with the frequency of beach posts now. Maybe I have two favorite places now. Still, these photos made me so very happy. :)

There was a new little sculpture set up on our last visit. It is the 250th birthday of St. Louis, so the city has put birthday cakes all over the place. Here is one of the multitude of cakes around town. Happy birthday STL!

Red Rock Canyon

Another flashback, to our trip over to Red Rock Canyon. A land of many colors and big rocks!

I took a film camera and a couple of old rolls of film. I got this expired film in a holiday gift swap with some film friends, and it seems to have suited this usage perfectly. The extra grain and somewhat varied colors goes perfectly with the wild skies and rocky terrain of this location.

Move to California on Film

Flashback to our move to California. The film that came along on the journey finally got developed. I enjoyed seeing these photos in August and remembering the fun we had on our looong drive from St. Louis to California way back in February. I hope you enjoy, too. :)

Our old parking lot, and the little pod that carried all of our stuff for us!

A selfie, my little car, loaded with Podcasts, pandas, caffiene, a gnome named Norm, and a few bags of cameras. :)

Wife in a cute little red bug!

Break time... stretch, walk, pet the cat. (Look close, Kim is in her car chatting with Zoe.)

A pit stop in Texas to see the "Cadillac Ranch".

I think this may be my favorite photo from the whole drive. The perfect use of a little three lens plastic camera and a bunch of Texas Cadillacs stuck in the ground!

Norm says Hi!

Family photo, minus Zoe, plus Norm.

California! Still a long way from the ocean, though!

Vegas Film

A few flashback photos from our trip to Vegas! Clearing out the back-up of film I've had sitting around has made for some fun times remembering place and times. Our little weekend in Vegas was a particularly fun one. :)
