Instant Laumeier

Right before we moved from St. Louis, we went to our favorite park and did a quick burn up of some film so we would have a fresh stash of photos when we were far away. My Polaroid land camera and our Polaroid 600 came along. A pack of Fuji 3000b peel apart and a pack of Impossible 600 gave us some instant memories of this wonderful park. Months later, I finally got them scanned.

Instant Beach

I've tried my best to like Impossible Project film, but it tends to be so cantankerous that it is truly hard to love. The fun of taking a photo and having the photo literally pop out of the camera and into your hand is nothing short of magical. But more often than not, this film produces totally flat photos with hardly any image. Every now and then though, a few pop out and actually have some color. At the end of the day, you have a few photos with a keeper or two. Here are some of the "keepers" from the last few months. Beach, beach, and more beach. :)

Instant Halloween

I got an Instax Wide camera for my birthday this year and have had a blast taking all kinds of instant photos. I also got a couple of packs of the Halloween themed film for our trip to the pumpkin patch. This film is a little kitschy, but a little fun. :)

The best part of Halloween this year? It poured down rain at about 2am, and we stayed awake waiting for it. It's been months since it has rained. We stood out on the balcony and got rained on and it was wonderful. I woke up the next morning to another little downpour and a big puddle on our patio. Took a photo and ran back to my warm bed! :)

Halloween 2014

Happy Halloween, let the carving be creative and the creepiness be somewhat funny. :)

My post-surgery wife, with her big belly scar carved a quirky pumpkin face with a big belly scar. My pumpkin was creeping in on her pumpkin, thinking of taking a bite. :)

Quirky and creepy (kind of).

Couch Time

When Kim was in the hospital, a dear friend of ours sent her a big, fluffy teddy bear. He has since been named Brian, after a favorite Blues goalie. He gets lots of love on the couch these days. :)

Zoe is also alongside for all the snuggles and loves her human could need. She's been a wonderful companion for my sweet wife during these long days of recovery (and boredom and sadness and pain and everything in between).
