Flowers Everywhere

I don't usually take a lot of "flower pictures". Maybe it's because our winter was so long this year. Once color started popping up, I couldn't help but point a camera at it.

A Favorite Tree

This is one of my favorite trees. I seem to take a photo of this tree at least once a year. Usually, it is around fall/winter and the bare branches are showing. This time, it is wearing spring time leaves. Once again, these photos were taken with Ilford SFX film, which, when coupled with a red filter, causes greens to fade into a nice shade of grey/white.

An SFX Tree

On a recent trip to the local botanical gardens, we somehow wandered off the beaten path... only to land in the yard of a very cool building. The architecture screams 1950's style and it was hard to not just wander around trying to see more of the building. Of course, I fell in love with a big tree that was growing near the fence line, next to a very cool wooden gate. And on the black and white SFX film, the tree looks even more gorgeous.

Infrared-ish Tulips

I have saved this roll of film all year, waiting and waiting for some springtime greens and flowers. Winter seemed to drag on forever, then suddenly - tulips! Here are some of those tulips, on an infrared-ish type film.
