Light Hunting: Laguna Beach

We went to the beach with a different mission this time. My goal was to go light hunting and see what I could find after the sun went down. Night photography has always been one of my very favorite kinds of photography. Finding light where your eye can barely see any. You never quite know what you'll get from scene to scene, but it's always fun try!

It started with a sunset, of course. At this time, there were still people on the beach. A boy and his board. A boy and his dog. Paddle boarders.

My wife and her new toy. Yes, we both got new camera. No, we cannot share. ;)

The sun goes down and darkness starts creeping over everything. Drag the shutter just a little, and the ocean starts slowing down.

We happened to have a moon over the water to enjoy, too.

The reflection of the moon on the water, the motion in the ocean and the clouds... oh, this is a gorgeous thing to photograph.

And on the way back to the lights, my wife posed on the lifeguard stand. ;)
